   Wow, you have caught some pretty crazy things.
   My uncle’s friend was fishing, and he was casting his line and his friend was in the back of him while he was casting. He swung his line back and the hook caught in his friends eyeball. I know it’s disgusting. And true. sOrry you had to hear that!

   I’ve caught three snakes and two seagulls. I’ve also had dragonflies snatch my fly out of mid air a few times. I landed a brand new fly rod and reel out of a lake once also.

   my nephew when he was 9 years old fishing from the bank of Joe Pool lake caught a Detroit Tigers cap. Funny thing, it was folded over with the bill stuck into the size-adjustment-strap-thingy and full of rocks.
   .
   things I have found while fishing:
   1. nice pair of fancy Oakley sunglasses in a fancy zip-up floating case.
   2. a bass boat seat (it’s now the best seat on my boat).
   3. a very extremely large yellow PFD, but I promptly lost it again.

   and of course, lures too numerous to mention.

   a snapping turtle on a popper,
   a gold fish on a 5 in plastic worm,
   a pack of condoms, (im not kidding, im serious),
   a duck, i casted and the duck flew in my line, then the line slid on it and i had a treble hook on it so i snagged it on the breast,
   a jelly fish,
   a fishing line with a horseshoe crab on the end.

   well thats it, i caught all these exept the snapping turtle, the gold fish, and the duck, in NY, manhattan area.

    a plant, a whole tree ( 5 ft tall, under water) a boat motor, a cow( dont ask) and i once was casting overhead ways and managed to catch my other rod by the lure and cast it about 6ft away from the boat and actually got it back by the last eye..

    While casting off a pier I caught a seagull in flight …that one through me.
    I once snagged a gunny sack full of dead baby kittens…gross!
    Once I brought my line in and had another line wrapped around mine and no one was around so I pulled it in and had 2 trout on it!alive!
    One time I caught my own ear…..hurt like hell pulling the hook out!
    Oh and when I was a kid I was fishing at marina del ray in los angeles and caught this weird little fish like creature that had the body of a fish and the head of a alligator loaded with teeth it was tanish in color…I later figured it must have been a gar, but I thought those were only in the south!

    oo and i caught a few starfish while deep sea fishing in oregon accidentaly snagged them in the back

    Seen people hook full rod and reel that people lost while fishing for King salmon or they threw their gear in the water and one of those caught was an orvis Zero gravity rod with an Ross momentum reel on it those people ran an add for rod and reel caught intact and no one claimed it,the other rods were spinning rods or bait casters that still had bobbers and hook connected the salmon most likely ripped the gear in when they struck and dragged the gear around for awhile before the hook came out.
    The only thing i hooked was a very old reel that was barely even able to tell it was a reel if you couldn’t see the handle on it and i hooked many dead fish before some people clean their ocean catches and discard the carcasses in creek and they get stink.
